This unusual accommodation consists of two properties rented as one unit. The Farmhouse has a kitchen with all modern amenities (with the exception of a dishwasher). Also downstairs is a dining room with wood burning stove, a reading room and a sitting room with a welcoming open fire. Upstairs there are 4 spacious double bedrooms with sea and lake views from every window. The Farmhouse also features is a fully secluded decking/ patio area which make this an ideal spot to relax and enjoy your beautiful and tranquil surroundings. The cottage has its own entrance, inside a small loft (room for a 4X6 double bed) which looks over the sitting area with an open fireplace, double bed couch divan and armchairs. A separate kitchen and bathroom with walk in shower is also provided making this a cosy self contained unit. THE LOCATIONCarraroe, known locally as an An Cheathrú Rua is a village in county Galway within the Irish-speaking region known as the Gaeltacht of Connemara. It is surrounded by beautiful inlets, bays and secluded beaches which make this area perfect for both lake and sea angling, swimming and diving. The unusual coral beach known as Trá an Dóilín is only a stroll away from the farmhouse.
Carraroe is famous for its traditional fishing boats known as Galway Hookers. Also, the Aran Islands Ferry is just a five minute drive away. PLEASE NOTE:All bookings are set to commence on a Saturday so when checking rates and availability please ensure you select a Saturday start date in order to get the best available prices for your dates. |
